Is there a single frame of the movie “The Shining” that doesn’t immediately induce terror? With good cause too as the Kubrick film is not just considered a horror masterpiece, but a cinematic masterpiece in general. It is with particular excitement and joy that we announce our teaming up with Danny Lloyd! Whether it’s images of “REDRUM,” riding a big wheel through hotel hallways or strategically walking backwards through a snowy hedge maze, Danny Lloyd’s naturalistic portrayal
of Danny Torrance helped make “The Shining” that much more intense and that much more suspenseful – because we, the audience, get to experience this supernatural horror through the eyes of a very believable and innocent child.
Emergence Talent will be bringing Danny to some exciting conventions in 2016, so keep looking here to stay informed!
Hawthorne James is an iconic and memorable actor, most beloved for his portrayals of Big Red in “The Five Heartbeats” and Sam the bus driver in Speed. He is also the intimidating villain in “Heaven’s Prisoner” with Alec Baldwin, Mary Stuart Masterson, Eric Roberts and Teri Hatcher.
He is a very active member of the stage community, though he is called back to the screens, big and small, often. More than just an actor, he is also an active producer and director. Be sure to catch him now in “A Christmas Wedding,” with Vivica A. Fox, which came out only a month ago.
Hawthorne has lent his talents to the films such as “Se7en,” “The Doors,” “The Color Purple,” “Amistad” and “Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror.” If you’re a fan of urban legends, be sure to find him with young Amy Smart, Ron Livingston, Christopher Masterson and Christine Taylor in “Campfire Tales.”
As impressive as his film resume is, he’s appeared in even more television including episodes of “Stargate SG-1,” “The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.,” “Rosewekk,” “Charmed,” “Carnivale,” “ER,” “NYPD Blue” and “Hill Street Blues.” He also recently reprised his role of Sam, somewhat spoofing himself in the Comedy Central series “Workaholics.”
We are so proud to welcome an actor who has been such an important staple of not only great genre productions but also simply television in and of itself. Steven Williams has appeared in well over 100 titles, ranging from appearing as a regular cast member on television shows to appearing in some of the most iconic films of all time. I don’t mind breaking the forth wall and saying that, as a native of Chicago, I’m exicted to add a client who is a cast member of one of the most famous movies ever shot in my fair city – “The Blues Brothers” (pictured, right alongside John Candy).
His credits are far and wide. Not only did he appear in the opening segment of the Twilight Zone Movie, but he also portrayed Black Jack Savage in Disney’s “The 100 Lives of Black Jack Savage.” In the world of television, he is largely known for acting alongside a young Johnny Depp in 97 episodes of “21 Jump Street” (pictured left). He also played a vitally important and incredibly mysterious “man in black” character in in “The X-Files” series called Mr. X (pictured below).
Other television credits include playing lead characters in “LA Heat” and “Linc’s,” as well as playing reoccurring characters in “Supernatural,” “The Bernie Mac Show,” “Dallas,” “Legacy,” “Booker” “The Equalizer.”
Recently, Steven appeared in the major motion picture release, “Jack the Giant Slayer” with Ewan McGregor and Stanley Tucci and the film “The Call” with Hallee Berry and Abigail Breslin.
